Tithing is a Biblical principal of giving back to God what is rightly His. In Leviticus 27:30 we are instructed to give back to God 10%. In giving back to God what is His, we sow seeds into the Kingdom, show gratitude for what the Lord has provided for us and practice generosity.

Tithing is NOT just an Old Testament law...
Tithing is not just an Old Testament rule; it is a practice affirmed by Jesus Himself. In Matthew 23:23, while challenging religious leaders for focusing only on outward rituals, Jesus affirmed the practice of tithing when aligned with a right heart.
Jesus didn't abolish the tithe—He elevated it. He encouraged giving as a natural baseline of faithfulness, while making sure our hearts are equally committed to love, mercy, and justice.
Reasons to tithe...
Proverbs 3:9 states, "Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops."
Why should we tithe? Because as Christians, we are called to imitate the character of God—and our God is overwhelmingly generous. He gave us the ultimate gift in His Son, Jesus Christ, along with salvation, grace, healing, and freedom. He equips us with the Holy Spirit, fills us with gifts and talents, and gives us the strength to create wealth. Tithing is simply our natural response to a God who gives us everything.
