We Believe in one, true, living God. We believe that He is the maker of all creation. That He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere-present. We believe that He is our eternal Father, the source of all goodness, truth, and love. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1Timothy 1:17; 3:16; 6:13-16)
We believe that He has revealed Himself in His Son, Jesus Christ, for the purpose of redemption and as the Holy Spirit for the purpose of intervening in the lives of people.
We Believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which declares Him to be the only begotten Son of God, who was born of a virgin and who lived to show us the words and works of God. As the Savior He was crucified and died on the cross in our place to be the supreme sacrifice for sin. He was buried in a tomb but rose again the third day, as the Scriptures foretold, and is now exalted as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
We Believe in salvation as wholly the work of God's free grace, not the result, in whole or in part, of human works or goodness. God offers salvation to people on the basis of Jesus' death on the cross as payment for our sin. Jesus triumphed over death in His resurrection and now occupies His position of exaltation at God's right hand. To be saved, a person must repent of sin, trust in Jesus alone as Savior, and receive the risen Christ as Lord of his or her life.
We Believe that God inspired the Scriptures, and that the original manuscripts of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are the Word of God given through people. We believe that the Scriptures we read today are the sufficient rule of faith and life and the final authority for truth and salvation. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21)
We Believe that all believers are entitled to, and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the “promise of the Father”; the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to the command of Jesus Christ. With the Baptism of the Holy Spirit comes the endowment of supernatural power for life and service, the imparting of gifts for use in the work of the ministry. This experience is distinct from and following the experience of salvation. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 2:38-39; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9; I Corinthians 12:1-31)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." -John 3:16 NIV
